The Hanover County Historical Society's eighth annual
Patrick Henry Leadership Award Gala took place on Tuesday, September 12, 2017, at beautiful
Oakland in Montpelier.
Society president
Faye Wade presented this year's award to the
Florence L. Page Memorial Library of Local History & Genealogy. Accepting the award were
Courtney Page Ferrell and Library Director
Judy Lowry.
This event was held inside Oakland, which was graciously opened to attendees by
Anne and
Rosewell Page III.
57 people attended the event. A buffet dinner with drinks was provided by the caterer
The Dirty Apron, and the award was provided by
Cowardin Jewelers.
